The Navigation Commences!

After a week of completing the equipments [the baggage] needed for the journey, the NAVIGATION - English Net College Training finally commenced.

June 21, 2013 at 1:00 PM marked the advent of my most awaited journey. The starting point of my ENC journey was depicted through the Introduction of what ENC is all about; the rules and regulations and other specific basics relative to the online English Institution.

As per my assessment of this starting point, I could say that the tension brought out by the challenging training procedures will definitely mold me into a better employee.. and I like that! Hopefully, as I continue to step on the challenging road of English Net College, I would be able to feel the fulfillment that I have been hungry for.. and that is, the possible accomplishments that I could get from the challenging tasks of my job.

Above all, I would like to thank the Almighty One for bestowing me the Baggage of Confidence, Courage and Commitment, which will serve as the sources of my power along the way.

ENC Training Countdown - 2: The Baggage of Commitment

After a day of being prolonged due sickness, the countdown finally advances to 2 and the search for the last baggage has continued. As a result of the countdown and searching resumption, a little step for the navigation's commencement is manifested and another baggage has been discovered and that is, THE BAGGAGE OF COMMITMENT.

If the baggage of countdown 3 depicts a very distinctive image, the above mentioned baggage poses a very big challenge for me because as I inspected the baggage, it gave me a lot of critical inputs and one of them is challenge posed by COMMITMENT.

Specifically, the things flashed by the baggage were the company's expectations in terms of: (1) Performance and (2) Commitment to its mission, vision and goals and to the entity itself [which I guess the most critical thing is].

As I was contemplating with the depiction of the baggage, I soon realized that the challenge posed by Commitment is my sincerity, determination  and self-motivation to stay in organization  for a long run in order to help in acquiring its Vision, Mission and Goals that will maintain a good status quo in the competitive market.

However, its undeniably true that the business environment nowadays is full of very attractive CAREER OPPORTUNITIES which may possibly induce me to leave the organization. Thus, with presence of such attractive opportunity my commitment to the organization is being tested. So help me God!

ENC Training Countdown Prolonged at "3"

The most awaited navigation countdown has been temporarily stopped due to the sickness experienced by the adventurer [yours truly]..

Anyhow, this is what had happened.. I experienced a tremendous cough and colds [and worst, "voicelessness"] which hindered me from discovering the other "baggage" needed for the navigation.

However, at this point of time, I am already in stage of recovery and hopefully I will be able to find the 2 remaining baggage in order for me to finally navigate.

Hence, I am very optimistic that I will be able to fully recover and continue my adventure.

Above all, there's no need to rush according to my Training Manager.

ENC Training Countdown - 3: The Baggage of Courage

Countdown 3 means two days left for the Navigation to finally happen. Meanwhile, my continuous discovery and inspection did not hinder me from finding out another hidden baggage left in my cabinet [chos! cabinet jud!?] and I'm pertaining to the BAGGAGE OF COURAGE.

Compared to the baggage mentioned on countdown 4, I regard the baggage of  countdown 3 as the distinctive one for what I saw were negative things.

The negative things depicted by the baggage were those which had happened in the past for instance, THE BAD EXPERIENCES, THE SEVERE "DOWNS" of life that had happened, TREMENDOUS SICKNESSES that were experienced & the STRUGGLES of College life and work life [love life too! HAHA!]. However, at the latter part of the depiction, I was quite amazed with the twist because I saw very rewarding statement and that is: "Congratulations! You have successfully solved the problems posed by those Challenges".

As I was contemplating with the depictions given by the baggage, an insight just popped out of my mind.. and that is, the realization that I am an individual molded resiliently by the Courage due to the several negative experiences that I acquired in my life.

Hence, the baggage of courage implies that I should be "more Courageous" in facing the challenges of the navigation.

ENC Training Countdown - 4: The Baggage of Confidence

Countdown 4, indicates three more days left for the ENC Training Navigation and thus, I must be able to find the three important baggages within a day in order to complete the things that I needed for the training. Anyhow, I found one.. The BAGGAGE OF CONFIDENCE!

Acquiring the Baggage of Confidence is never easy. It takes two to tango to establish a confident mindset that will enable you to do good in the serious navigation.

As I acquire the previously mentioned baggage, I inspected it and I was able to see that it contained the ACHIEVEMENTS,  PAST REWARDS, SUCCESSFUL MOMENTS and EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCES that I had in my life.

Now you might be thinking what does those contents tell me.. The contents mentioned above are obviously reminding me about the things that have built my confidence through the years in succeeding the obstacles posed by  both the miserable and unforgettable past.

Hence, by inspecting the Baggage of Confidence, I was able to realize that I have nothing to be ashamed of because I have achieved and experienced a lot of things and thus, it goes to show that I am [somehow] ready to face challenges that are already waiting in the navigation.

ENC Training Countdown - 5: Preparing the Baggages for Navigation

Today is the advent of the English Net College Training Countdown. As the Title says, "Preparing the Navigation" this means that the adventure in the ENC Training is just about to begin.

At this point, I am doing my best to equip myself with 3 baggages that I need for the indefinite navigation [the ENC Training], from which I guess a lot of obstacles are waiting to be solved.

As the countdown progresses, I am hoping that I will be able to fully prepare myself physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Perpetuating Learning through Self-Education

The problem that I have already anticipated after the Commencement Exercises was the Perpetuation of my Knowledge in the field that I've chosen, The Human Resources Development Management.

With my continuous commitment to the Perpetual and Lifelong Learning, I am very much determined to read a lot of reading materials such as books, manuscripts and net books in our to make perpetuation and  further acquisition of learning possible.

In the field of HRDM [Human Resources Development Management], committing oneself to lifelong learning is very difficult because there are a lot of areas [HR Functions] that you will need to discover in order to understand the HRDM in a bigger picture.

The image above shows the areas or functions that I wanted to learn perpetually in the field of HRDM. Specifically, Labor Relations, Compensation and Benefits and HR Correspondence. However, my biggest problem is.. [as of now] I'm still incapable of acquiring these books for, they are very expensive! Oh-em! 

Anyhow, I am still optimistic that I can acquire these books soon. As for now, I'm still settling myself with the books and other resources available at home and in the internet. 

Hopefully, in some future time I will be able to maximize my learning and enter the Post-Graduate Studies. AJA! ;-)

"Shoo!" says Comfort food to Stress

Due to the very stressful week, I and my friend [ and colleague] - Miss Lea visited our favorite Fast food chain to eat something that will somehow help us cope with stress and that is what we call Comfort Food(s) and it refers to any foods that people eat when they are sad or worried [and stressed! ugh!].

Anyhow, as the image shows [ignore the beautiful person with neon pink shirt], particularly on the left side,  our comfort foods are: cheese burger, fries and coca-cola soft drink from which I really agree that they are unhealthy [oops!]. 

Saying goodbye to stress has been easy for both of us due to presence of our favorite fast food chain which is able to provide us with our comfort foods. Hence, with the powerful effect of the comfort food, it finally says, "Stress? Shoo!".

Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms attacked Davao City

Recently, Davao City was attacked by pesky rain showers and thunderstorms. Because of such fortuitous event,  a lot of miserable happenings occurred like flood, destroyed shelters, contagious diseases and other flood-related diseases.

FLOOD, as one of the miserable effects of heavy rain [and thunderstorms], poses a great disaster for people who are out of town. It doesn't only make them wet but it will keep them stranded for a long time especially if they are in places prone to flood.

LEPTOSPIROSIS WARNING

As mentioned earlier, diseases are also rampant and thus, people of Davao City received a warning from the DOH [Department of Health] about the disease called Leptospirosis, a bacterial disease that affects both humans and animals. Humans become infected through direct contact with the urine of infected animals or with a urine-contaminated environment. (http://www.who.int/topics/leptospirosis/en/)

Experiencing the aforementioned natural disaster and its effects are part of the Earth's natural environmental cycle. Thus, there's no way for us to escape from it. However, an IntelliWizard, like me, would think of possbile ways on how to protect Davao City from the HEAVY RAIN and THUNDERSTORMS. Hmmm... I guess the charms that I learned from Hogwarts will work...

The Princess Eagle's last Shakey's V-League Regular Appearance

On thing that makes me go crazy when watching volleyball games is this girl. In the name of Fille Saint Merced Cainglet, thousands of fans are going crazy due to her exceptional volleyball power and of course beauty and glamour.

With her exceptional skills and looks, she acquired the triumph of FAME in all sports-related websites and volleyball geeks.

Her final [and last] appearance in the Shakey's V-league Season 10 marks my the advent of my slight loneliness because I won't be able to see her playing anymore. Nevertheless, I know she will continue to shine bright like a diamond and stay humble.

Soar high FILLE SAINT MERCED CAINLET. I will miss you so much!

The Blog's Advent: Know the IntelliWizard

Hi! I'm IntelliJAN LAUREN ILAGAN a.k.a The Intellectual Wizard... I graduated from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry [In the Wizardry World] and from San Pedro College of Davao City [In Reality/Muggle World] with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Human Resources Development Management.

I'm currently working at Global Net Academy [GNA] and soon to be working at English Net College [ENC]. Both GNA and ENC are online English schools established to cater the English language practice needs of [mostly] Japanese, Chinese and even Korean students.

Aside from being an Online English Instructor, I'm also a certified Harry Potter series addict, Volleyball Athlete, a Future HR Practitioner [and Politician too! Wah!].
